The premise of this blog is twofold:
Firstly, that it is in many ways salutary to be able to listen to recordings of the sung Divine Office, and that therefore the opportunity for doing this should be provided to the general public.
Secondly, that the producing of such recordings is a valuable exercise for singers, who are thus given an opportunity to work out the musical intricacies of chanting these liturgies.
Thus, for those who wish to listen, this blog offers daily mp3’s files; and to those who are capable, the invitation also to contribute your own recordings.
